RESUME
My name is Linda Behnen and I am a diploma fashion designer with additional studies in journalism and accessories. I worked several years as a freelancer with focus on streetwear and trend research, both in fashion/textile design and journalism/trendscout.
New York fashion week and developing artworks in silk and jersey were some of my regular businesses.
Since I studied one semester knit design and got passioned about it, I developed a collection with knit for my fashion label cabezota. (See portfolio).
On a one-year contract in 2015, I built up the creative department in the startup artboxOne of Pixum as artbuyer and trendscout.
Here I was responsible for all trends themes, colour and artwork decisions. Additionally I was responsible for events, coorporations and all social media processes and brand building, which enthused me much.
Since January 2017 until Juli 2018 I worked for the ESPRIT headquarter in Ratingen as textile designer in ladies circular & knits ; first mainline for division edc, and since november in the position for all divisions OTB fast to market and APAC; where I was responsible for research and design for eather wholesale, e-com and retail and all kind of artworks, AOPs, embroideries and placement prints with different techniques. For the mainline I was also involved in the development of sales docs.
The last three month of the contract until end of June I switched intern into the position fashion designer lightwoven (dresses, blouses and skirts, also jeans) for OTB F2M/APAC/E-COM.
The time between my contracts at artboxONE and ESPRIT, I spend travelling through Southeast Asia to research fashion ideas and freshing up my creative impulses. I returned end of August 2016 to prepare my own exhibition „She‘s the north“ of the last collection of cabezota in cooperation with the FB69 Gallery in Cologne. It successfully took place on the 05th of November 2016 and was followed by a PopUp Shop.
Through my experience in several positions and locations in the creative branche I gained a great knowledge in trend, textile design, people and in comprehensive working, which leads to better results in teamworking between different departments and is a plus for every company or client.
For me the basis to achieve the company‘s targets is a high level of commitment and responsability on the job and a good work-life balance. A good team drives me the motivation to become steadily better together. The combination of creativity and organisation excites me as a passionate „team athletes“ to complete the tasks entrusted to me accurately. Team, product or customer, I am working professionally.
